Bishop Edward Johnson, Sr
Bishop Edward L. Johnson, Sr was chosen by God. In the summer of 1983 at the age of 18 (eighteen) years old. God sent Bishop Johnson a Holy Ghost filled saint. Who began to witness to him about the goodness of the Lord. Bishop Johnson, listened and then began reading and studying the word of God. After, Bishop Johnson was witnessed to; along with reading and studying God's word he encountered a life changing experience. Since Bishop Johnson was not affiliated with any church, he refused his calling.
Bishop Johnson through self examination gave up his sinful lifestyle and began to cleave to Jesus. God began to reveal himself to Bishop Johnson through dreams and visions. The Lord Jesus Christ spoke to Bishop Johnson and told him to go out and preach the gospel through out the world. As Johnson accepted his calling the Lord said to Bishop Johnson, "many will not believe I've called you." "So, let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid. But, go and Lo I am with you always. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Peace I leave with you, peace I give unto, not as the world giveth unto you .
On June 15, 1985 (fifth-tenth, nine-teen hundred eighty five) Bishop Edward L. Johnson Sr was united in Holy Matrimony. He wedded Patricia Ann James. From that Holy Union birth was given to Two (2) sons and four (4) daughters.
God ordained and annointed him with the five (5) fold ministry; of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher. The Lord Jesus Christ gave Johnson a great vision about starting a ministry. He then founded and established Morning Star in 1994. Many signs and wonders are being fulfilled by our Apostle, Bishop, Overseer, Teacher, and Guide.
